Clay pipes

Clay pipes also circulated in the Cordillera and were part of their recreational tobacco smoking tradition. Similar to wood and metal pipes, clay pipes come in a variety of shapes and sizes, ranging from plain to elaborately adorned ones. They were also recognized as heirloom items. Moreover, given the relatively smaller sizes of clay pipes, they are more fragile than pipes made of other materials.
