Known as the wala’ngan in Ifugao, this tool is employed to organize cotton threads into manageable strands, facilitating the winding of yarns into balls. This weaving implement plays a crucial role in preparing collected cotton threads for further processing. Skeining is achieved by winding the thread around the wala’ngan, creating skeins for subsequent stages of textile production (Lambrecht, 1958).
