RESEARCH DATA:

The singat is a type of headband worn by Ga’dang women. Resembling a choker in appearance, it is worn across the forehead, just along the hairline (San Agustin, 2007). It serves as a decorative headpiece, with beads hanging from its lower edge that overlap the forehead. The Ga’dang are renowned for their use of beads to embellish their textiles and bodies, adorning everything from headdresses to lower garments, as well as their heads, necks, and arms.
