RESEARCH DATA:

The traditional rice harvesters in the Cordillera use this tool called rakem/lakem (Applay and Bontoc), lakom (Kalinga), also called raketa (Itneg), raka (Isnag), langket (Barlig), and gamulang/khamulan/ani-ani (Ifugao). This particular tool came from Ifugao. The long tip is used to hang the harvested rice.
