RESEARCH DATA:

The traditional rice harvesters in the Cordillera use this tool called rakem/lakem (Applay and Bontoc), lakom (Kalinga and Itneg), also called raketa (Tingguian), raka (Isnag), langket (Barlig), and gamulang (Ifugao). gamulang or khamulang in Ifugao. This particular tool came from Ifugao. The long tip is used to hang the harvested rice.
