RESEARCH DATA:

A belt with brass chains and woven textile serving as its waistband. It features a circular metallic buckle that functions as the belt's lock. The buckle displays the Boy Scouts of the Philippines logo and an embossed inscription reading 'THE BOY SCOUT B P.' The blue and red textile is made of cotton, and characteristically from the Ibaloy or Kankana-ey speaking people in Benguet. The finely crafted brass chains are reminiscent of the brass chains used for smoke pipes found in the area. It can be understood that the person who once owned this had interactions with the lowlands, and had trade in exchange of goods with the brass buckle to complete the ensemble.
