The taga'ong is a ceremonial dipper traditionally used in Ifugao culture and is carved from hardwood. Its handle is intricately crafted in the form of a seated bu'lul figure.

RESEARCH DATA:
The taga’ong is a dipper used by a mumbaki (ritual specialist) to scoop rice wine from the heirloom
jars with the baya (rice wine). According to Quintos (2014), such pieces are said to be used exclusively for ritual but
they may also have been used in everyday activity.
