RESEARCH DATA:
Most wearable accessories and personal adornments are not permanently worn on the body; they are stored and kept for the next occasion when they are required to be worn. Special accessories for special occasions, such as the ginading, serve as an example. The ginading is a Ga'dang bracelet worn by the bride during a traditional wedding. All the individual rings of this bracelet are worn together on both arms and legs of the bride. The size of the rings is adjustable, as the bracelet is made of brass, which is malleable to accommodate the desired tightness when worn. When not in use, the ginading pieces are stored on a short bamboo pole with an oblong hole in its culm, which serves as the holder for the items. The size of each ring becomes significantly smaller as it is squeezed tightly to fit onto the bamboo holder.
