RESEARCH DATA:

This woven rattan shoulder bag is also called kupit or kalupit (Jenks, 1905) and is common in Bontoc, Mountain Province. It varies in shape and size. Kupit like this has only one compartment, however many variations of it have more compartments. They are used to store food items, such as cooked rice along with other personal belongings like lime containers, pipes, and tobacco.
