RESEARCH DATA:

This woven rattan shoulder bag is also called kupit or kalupit (Jenks, 1905) and is common in Bontoc, Mountain Province. It varies in shape and size. This version of the kupit only has one compartment, however there are many variations that have more and are used to store food, such as rice and other personal items such as lime containers, pipes and tobacco.
