RESEARCH DATA:

The inabnutan is a water-repellent woven backpack commonly used in Ifugao and Bontoc. This basket has no lid but is covered with abnut (fibers), the term on which the name, inabnutan, is based. Inabnutan is a variation of pasiking bag common to Ifugao (Barton, 1919; Capistrano-Baker, et al., 1998; Anderson, 2020) and is also called fangao (Bontoc), and bango (Ifugao).
