RESEARCH DATA:

Known locally as tawing or ladok (Applay), fakong (Bontoc), and inadu (Ifugao), these wooden ladles serve the purpose of transferring food from cooking pots, as highlighted by Ellis in 1981. Ladle handles commonly feature designs inspired by anthropomorphic and zoomorphic figures. Notably, the handles are equipped with drilled holes at the tips, facilitating easy suspension when not in use.
