RESEARCH DATA:

This variation of ulat features an intricate design of minat-mata (eyes) and geometric figures among the Ga’dang of Mountain Province. The blanket is used everyday and on ritual occasions. It is worn by both men and women, draped loosely over the shoulders, upper body, and arms, and sometimes also over the head during cold seasons. This particular blanket is also shared with the Kalinga, a neighboring ethnic group of the Ga’dang.
