RESEARCH DATA:

This ikat blanket is another innovation by Patis Tesoro, a Filipina fashion designer. The blanket features a “spiraling-up” design, marked by the distinct kinatiba’nglan (tree fern), a series of diamonds that run along all sides of the fabric. Other design patterns include the linu’hhong (rice mortar), inan-antak (long beans), and kinattibanglan (tree fern), all of which are significant in Ifugao culture for representing wealth and nobility.
