This ikat blanket is an innovation by Patis Tesoro, a Filipina fashion designer. The blanket features a series of geometric motifs arranged along the length of the fabric. Distinct motifs include the linu’hhong (rice mortar), inan-antak (long beans), and kinattibanglan (diamond shapes inspired by the markings on the trunk of a tree fern), all of which are significant in Ifugao culture and represent wealth and nobility (Martin & Dulawan, 2020).
