DESCRIPTION:

A multi-stranded hair comb embellished with colourful beads on both the front and back. The sides are decorated with two beaded tassels.

RESEARCH DATA:

Originally, the laggud (comb) was made from thinned buffalo horn and decorated with colourful beads. Women wore it on the right side of their head. The Ga’dang have a strong preference for decorating their jewellery and clothing with small glass beads which were used in vast quantities (Afable, 2013).
