The Ga'dang, an ethnic group in Mountain Province call this type of belt bakwat. This is worn by mothers after giving birth. Typically crafted with colourful beads accentuating patterns of rivers and mountains, they often feature beads at the centre of the fabric. According to Maramba (1998), the Gad'ang have a penchant for embellishing their clothing with beads, shells, buttons, and coins, adorning a significant portion of their garments with ornaments as part of their aesthetic.
