Bags and Carrying Accessories

Notable among the basketry in the Luzon Cordillera are bags and carrying baskets, which include woven backpacks, shoulder bags, pouches, and carrying baskets. These types of baskets play significant roles to the day-to-day activities of the people in the Cordillera.  Bags, backpacks, and pouches provide storage for food and valuable items during long travels, while carrying baskets are essential in agriculture.
